A Widespread Need for Distance Learning Graduate Psychology Degrees

In a recent episode of The Twilight Zone, I was reminded of the importance of distance learning graduate psychology degrees. In this episode an old man life is tied to a clock. That is, the grandfather clock was constructed the same day he was born, so the clock, which has to be wound every day, will determine his death. He will die when the clock "dies."

He is sent to a psychiatrist by his well-meaning granddaughter, with whom he lives and whom he is driving nuts with his clock "obsession". Talking with the psychiatrist, he says something to the effect of if people didn't have relationship problems, psychiatrists wouldn't exist. It made me think of how much our society needs psychology. Distance education has made achieving psychology degrees much easier than it was in the past.

Psychology Degrees Attract a Wide Variety of Careers

It is true that we do need professional therapists, who in turn need one or more psychology degree to practice and administer treatment and care, work in a clinical setting, or prescribe medication. In the same respect, according to recent reports, distance learning graduate psychology degrees also involve other careers and lifestyles. That is, not everyone who gets a psychology through distance education gets to practice as a clinician or psychiatric doctor. Though, to be fair to the flip side of this gross generalization, not everyone wants to.

If you are one of the many who have worked hard to earn a distance learning graduate psychology degrees, your degree will pay off. We need psych majors and graduates in any field where people collaborate, socialize, or compete. With a BA in Psychology, you might think about working in law, where everyone from battered or fought-over children (in custody suits) to those embroiled in spousal abuse or criminal cases need psychologists.

You may take your degree in psychology distance education to work in a hospital, a school, or a retirement facility or you could even go into marketing. Yes, consider the psychology, especially today, of buy and sell and push and shove over similar and competing products and services. Imagine how valuable you would be in every area, from demographics to design.

Evidently, distance learning graduate psychology degrees will not only land you a career where psychological conflicts, problems, or mental health exist, but also where people work, buy, sell, think, and feel. And that is just about everywhere, now isn't it?
